My parakeets (Budgies) stay in their in their cage most of the day in the house. I let them out inside the house to fly around for a couple hours before sundown. When the sun goes down they instinctively go to their cage to roost. Between two families, a total of nine people live in the home. Another adult placed the call to police. The other residents of the home, who are all related, were believed to be home at the time od the incident and are being interviewed by police.
